Tourism and Sports Minister Mrs. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, welcomed at the Finale of Phuket Raceweek.

Mrs. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, Ministry for Tourism and Sports, Thailand presided over the Closing Ceremony and Gala Dinner of the 2017 Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek and was joined by VIPs and special guests from the public and private sectors.

Celebrating its 14th year, Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek is a marine tourism and lifestyle event that showcases sports tourism, the island of Phuket and Phuket’s credentials as a destination for international events. The Tourism and Sports Minister welcomed more than 500 sailors and their families from 25 countries around the world to take part and the event was held at Cape Panwa Hotel.

Admiral Pojana Puekpong addressed the VIP’s and welcomed the sailors stating how pleased he was to see so many at this year’s Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek.

Following the Admiral’s address, he presented the Final Series Awards to the winners and runner’s up of all seven classes.

Mr. Byron Jones, Managing Director, Media Business Services, owners and organisers of Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek gave a thank you speech to all the participants, thanking all the sponsors and awarded the Annual Phuket Raceweek Recognition Award for Services to Sailing to Mrs. June Carwardine.
