If your answer is “sounds great!”, then join the Cruising Catamaran division at this year’s Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek from 17th to 21st July.
Now entering its 16th edition, Phuket Raceweek has been held at the prestigious Cape Panwa Hotel since 2012. Registration is on Wednesday 17th July followed by an Official Opening and sponsored Mount Gay Rum party.
Cape Panwa Hotel is the event Title Sponsor and its sister hotel Kantary Bay Hotel have special regatta accommodation rates should you wish to stay onshore with a double room from 1,850 thb including breakfasts and local taxes. Read more HERE
An international line up of sailors and their families from all over the World will participate in some of the more competitive classes, however Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek is all about sailing in Phuket, for everyone.
Is Phuket a regatta hub?

Cruising Catamarans, Our Objective.
With so many quality catamarans based in Phuket both privately owned and in charter fleets, the organisers of Phuket Raceweek are reaching out to owners and operators to join in with the fun and entertainment and of course some sailing as well.

Back to the sailing.
Sailing takes place on the East Coast of Phuket in and around Chalong Bay, with boats normally anchored off Cape Panwa Hotel, Ao Yon or Chalong Bay. Racing is Thursday to Sunday with starts at 10:00 am, subject to weather.
The Islands around Southern Phuket make for a picturesque backdrop and normally perfect conditions for safe sailing ably managed by our race officer Simon James and his team.
The Cruising Catamaran class is a “let’s have some fun and go, sailing class” which we anticipate crew joining boats to make up the numbers and perhaps a few corporate entries also getting involved.
