Phuket Sandbox and Phuket Raceweek 2021
The good news here in Phuket is that the government plan to re-open Phuket from the 1st July has happened and now in mid-July I am pleased to report it is working.
The situation in other parts of Thailand is not so good and we pray things do not get any worse.
With that said we are Go for Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th August 2021.
Simon James is working on the provisional Notice of Race and we hope to have that out to you in the coming days.
In the meantime, the 18th Phuket Raceweek starts with registration taking place on Thursday 26th August at the Phuket Cruising Yacht Club many of you will know Brent Mcinnes and we thank him for stepping up to help us get our event organised.
You can all look forward to 3 days racing Friday to Sunday the 27th – 29th of August. Racing will be based in the Southeast of Phuket and around Chalong Bay.
Brent has also offered to host a party on Saturday evening and more details to follow.
The Final Awards party venue on Sunday evening will be announced shortly.

It is our intention to create a toned-down low-cost event
- with minimal boat entry fees, 6,000 Thai Baht per boat
- entry ticket of 300 Thai Baht per person.
Please note the Phuket Raceweek website is currently being updated and will have all the event programmes, Sailing Instructions, Courses and Notice of Race updated ASAP.
